Cinema is more popular than theatre. Theatre is usually more expensive than cinema. It is cheaper to go to the cinema. Some movies could be more intellectual than plays in theatre. But it is considered that theatre is more intellectual than cinema. It takes more time to watch play in theatre. You need more imagination to understand everything in theatre play. Sometimes people don't understand theatre and cinema is more entertaining for them. So cinema has bigger audience than theatre.
