The problem of crime has always aroused heated debates. Some people are convinced that it is not humane to use capital punishment. However, the others believe that the capital punishment is a fair penalty for murderers. I suppose that capital punishment is too fierce for criminals. Firstly, it is proven that criminals commit crime because they have psychic illnesses. So it is correct to treat them. Secondly, justice system sometimes doesn't work properly, so it could be a mistake in sentence and innocent person would be killed. Thirdly, there is life imprisonment, which could be also severe punishment for criminals. Some opponents might stick to the point that murder shouldn't live, because he take life of other person. They suggest that capital punishment is better than life imprisonment, because it doesn't need to be financed by government. So society won't pay for their food etc. Moreover, they argue that capital punishment seems to deter people from committing serious violent crimes. Nevertheless I do not support the above mentioned ideas. One should take into account the fact that taking a life when a life has been lost, it is a revenge, it is not a justice. Besides, not the punishment prevents crime, the thing that deters is the likelihood of being caught and punished. All in all, human life is so valuable that even the worst murderers should not be deprived of the value of their lives. Despite the arguments of various skeptics I am convinced that our society needs to be more humane and to have good working justice system rather than kill people in revenge that they kill someone else.
