William Shakespeare is a famous English playwright, who continues to become one of the most famous English writers even 450 years after his death. William was born in 1564 a family of glove merchant and was the eldest of the eight children. He moved to London soon after his marriage (at the age of 18) and started acting career there. By 1592 he become a leading playwright. He worked in a popular theatre troupe, which had a right to perform in king's court. Shakespeare wrote 37 plays, which brings his theatre among the most important companies in country. Also he wrote poems and sonnets. In 1610 he returned to his native town and led rather quiet life there. He had a big house, a lot of land and he was a co-owner of 2 theatres in London. However, his figure is surrounded by a lot mystery. Some critics doubt that he wrote their plays by himself, because his education and life-experience were limited. But also there are proofs that he is a real literature genius.
