I absolutely agree that teachers should organise meetings with authors, because such events could attract students' attention to authors books. Also it is good idea to let students decide what is interesting for them, not to tell them what to read. Because it is always boring to read books from lists for summer reading as well as writing reports on books. Moreover I don't like class and school book fairs. But I like the idea of making an internet page or other source with recommendations.
