There are many advantages to big city living, and of course, there are some disadvantages. While salaries tend to be higher in major cities, this doesn’t always help with the high cost of living. While you live in a village you even can grow food by yourself. Many big cities share one thing: noise levels. In NYC, for example, it’s next to impossible to find an apartment that doesn’t have traffic, horns, sirens, and more right outside the window. In village you can find a lot of silent and peaceful places. Many apartments in larger cities are extremely small. Also, it’s fairly unusual to have any space outside of your apartment or home, like a yard or lawn. In the countryside you can live in a big house and always have a big yard or lawn, or even farm. There are also some advantages of living in a city. Living in a major city makes it very difficult to be bored or not have anything to do. Whether you’re going to the theatre, or trying new types of food in restaurant, comedy shows, art museums, there’s almost always something going on. Moreover all of the best artists and teams pass through the biggest and most populated cities, so you never have to worry about making a long journey to see your favorites or discover someone new.
