1) The most famous Russian type of traditional painting is Khokhloma. Khokhloma is now one of Russia’s symbols. Gzhel painting or just Gzhel. Palekh miniature. Before Russian Revolution Palekh was famous by his icons, and after 1917 its artists had to find another use for their talents. Dymkovo toys. Bright and joyful Dymkovo toys are still very popular in Russia. Each toy is unique and made by just one artist. The Orenburg woolen shawls. The Tula samovars. 2)The Dymkovo toy is molded out of the local red clay, burned and covered with a layer of chalk mixed in milk.
