There is a myth about British meal, that it doesn't have large variety. Partly it's true, but there are a lot of popular traditional dishes in Britain. There is a big difference between traditional English breakfast, which includes eggs, bacon, sausages, toast, backed bean and mushrooms and a typical English breakfast: now it's more likely to be a bowl of cereals, a slice of toast, porridge or boiled oats (in winter) and orange juice or a cup of coffee. In British schools children usually bring something for lunch in a plastic container. It could be a sandwich, a packet of crisps, a piece of fruit and a drink. A traditional British evening meal(dinner or supper) includes meat and two vegetables, one of which is usually potatoes, now vegetables like carrots, peas, onions and cabbage are very popular too. Also nowadays people often eat curry, rice or pasta dishes for dinner. But Sunday dinner usually consists of roast meat, two different kinds of vegetables and potatoes with Yorkshire pudding.
