Although Russians also believe that eating a full breakfast is a good habit, many people skip breakfast. Some people just have a cup of coffee or tea as they are in a hurry. Typical fast breakfast is a pair of sandwiches with cheese or sausage (kolbasa). Russian sandwiches differ from US sandwiches a lot – it is usually a slice of bread, often some butter and a slice or two of cheese or sausage. Now it is difficult to say what is a typical time for a Russian to eat dinner. I would say that it used to be 7-8 pm, but nowadays for many people dinner is when they get home.
