The street runs Northwest from the central Manege Square in the direction of Saint Petersburg and terminates at the Garden Ring, giving the name to Tverskoy District. The route continues further as First Tverskaya-Yamskaya Street, Leningradsky Avenue and Leningradskoye Highway. There were two squares оn Tverskaya street. The Pushkin Square is at the intersection with the Boulevard Ring built instead of the walls of the White city. It was called Strastnaya square 1937. There are the most expensive hotels: "Natsional", "Ritts Carlton", "Mariott Grand"; known shops: Eliseevsky, "Moscow book store", cafe, restaurants, museums and theatres located on Tverskaya today.
